Bastrop County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible agency or court directly for those services.
Current Custody and Records
The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office is the county contact for a current-custody question and for a written booking-record request. The county does not publish booking-desk hours in the material reviewed, so call for its current operating availability before relying on a visit or phone connection. The jail mailing address is distinct from the facility address used by the sheriff.

For an existing record or photo, submit a narrow written request under Texas Government Code Chapter 552. Include the name, approximate date, arresting agency, and a known booking, SO, or case number where available. The county says it need not create a record or perform legal research, and release can depend on applicable exceptions.
- For someone who may be in county custody now, call the booking desk.
- For a historical booking record or a photograph, use BCSO Open Records by email, fax, mail, or in-person delivery.
- For the court result after booking, use Odyssey Public Access and the appropriate clerk.
- For a featured public-safety alert or a tip, use Wanted Fugitives and the official Bluebonnet route.
- For a state-sentenced person, use the TDCJ offender search, not the county booking desk.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator for that separate system.
Do not treat a newspaper jail log, a social post, or a third-party card as a current-custody confirmation. An arrest is an accusation, and the later court record may show a changed charge, dismissal, plea, or another disposition.
