About This Bastrop Resource

Bastrop County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource. It organizes the official paths for finding booking, wanted-list, court, and records-request information in Bastrop County, Texas. It does not host booking-photo galleries or take the place of the public offices that create and hold records.

Why This Resource Exists

Texas public-record law begins with a presumption of access, but that does not mean every item appears in one search box. In Bastrop County, the sheriff's office holds county booking information, Bluebonnet Crime Stoppers publishes its own featured wanted alerts, Odyssey carries public criminal-case access, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice has a separate system for people in state correctional custody. Each channel answers a different question.

We bring those source distinctions, official links, and request paths together in plain language. The aim is to help a reader start with the right custodian instead of mistaking an old publication for present custody or a booked allegation for a court outcome. No booking photograph, jail roster, arrest file, or court record is stored here.

What the Site Provides

Content is organized around official navigation and source limits, not a photo collection. The county's systems are separated so a reader can see what a booking record, wanted alert, court case, or state-custody profile can and cannot establish.

  • The home page explains BCSO current-custody, open-records, court, and state-custody routes.
  • Wanted Fugitives describes the Bluebonnet Crime Stoppers list and a safe warrant-check path.
  • City pages distinguish Elgin, Bastrop, and Smithville police records from county jail custody.
  • Official public-information sources are identified under Texas Government Code Chapter 552.

What We Do Not Provide

This is not a government office and has no affiliation with BCSO, the Bastrop County Jail, a court, or a corrections department. We cannot release or hold anyone, confirm custody or release, post bond, arrange visits, transfer funds, issue official records, or give legal advice. Only the agency or court responsible for a record can supply a current answer.

  • We do not host or re-publish booking photos.
  • We do not determine whether a person is guilty, wanted, or in custody.
  • We do not act as a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
  • Site information must not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other FCRA-regulated decisions.

An arrest, booking, or wanted alert is an accusation or public-safety notice, not a conviction. A court disposition is the source for the later legal result.

Search Partners

Some pages contain a search box operated by a third-party provider. That provider sets its own terms, pricing, results, and data practices. If a partner tool leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the resource. A referral relationship does not give us control over a partner's results or charges.
